Hiram & Sarah Granger Kimball Home
This home existed in Commerce before the Saints established Nauvoo and was owned by Hiram Kimball. He later met and married Sarah Granger.
Sarah Granger Kimball played a vital role in establishing the Female Relief Society of Nauvoo, a women’s organization dedicated to charitable acts and individual development. Today the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints carries on this legacy.
Lucy Mack Smith Home
Tour the home of Lucy Mack Smith, the mother of the Prophet Joseph Smith. She was a stalwart supporter of the prophetic mission of her son and a fierce defender of her family. She was always bearing fervent testimony of her son’s prophetic mantle.
