Hiram & Sarah Granger Kimball Home
This is the oldest restored home in Nauvoo. The first meeting to discuss the organization of the Female Relief Society was held here.
Parlor
Pictures of Hiram and Sara hang on the parlor wall.

Back Entrance
Displayed near the home’s rear entrance are a variety of period household items, such as a fly trap (bell-shaped glass bottle) in front of the large serving platter. To the right of the woodbox is a clothes washing auger people would insert into a tub of laundry, twisting the upper arms so the lower legs could agitate the clothing.
Children's room
Have you ever thought about how much one of your babies were worth? Sara surprised Hiram by asking him that question, and the results were very unexpected.
Master Bedroom
This room was most likely Hiram and Sarah's bedroom. None of the furniture or items belonged to the Kimballs.
Kitchen
This home is not very wide but is efficiently laid out to include all the necessities and some of the extras of a pioneer home. The bustle oven is located on the side of the wall to the right of the fireplace.
