Browning Home
This was one of the larger homes in Nauvoo in the 1840's. It is situated on the business section of Main Street in a great location for Jonathan's Blacksmith & Gunshop

The floor in this entrance way is original. It and the two story portion of the home, are over 175 years old.
Parlor Room
A beautiful room to receive and visit with guests. Think of who might have visited them here - John & Leonora Taylor lived across the street and Brigham and Mary Ann Young lived just around the corner.
Sitting Room
This room is in the center of the home and fittingly is set up as a living room where the family may have gathered in the evening for Family time.
Gun Room
The longrifle in the center of this display case is a replica of the rifle that made Jonathan Browning famous
Kitchen
9 of the Browning's children lived in this home. This is a nice large kitchen to accommodate their family.

Many of the items you see displayed here were donated by descendants of the Brownings
